Google Map With Google Maps you can use the ”Map”, “Satellite”, “Street View” and “Hybrid” views to see the fabulous location of the house in this secluded, quiet no through road. Search to find “boat rental” or "Italian Restaurants" etc and use "Directions" from/to our home to "Fort Myers Airport” or “Tampa Airport " (The nearest exit on the I75 is exit 195).

The Legacy Trail This is an old railway track from Venice to Sarasota that has been converted into a cycle and hiking trail. It crosses Laurel road half way to Publix.
Bike Rental If the two bikes at the house are not enough then try here, but note that it probably costs less to BUY a bike at Wal-Mart!
Historic Spanish Point Half a mile on the left after Wal Mart these lovely gardens are worth a visit for an afternoon stroll.
Horse Riding The Meadowind Riding School can look after all of your equine requirements!

Car Rental From our experience Hertz is the best value car rental because if you order a small car, they usually don’t have one, so they have to give you a bigger car for the same price!!!!
Cheapest petrol/gas/diesel in the area Type in 34275 as the ZIP code and this will tell you the cheapest place to buy petrol (per gallon!) in the area.
Publix Groceries Store Is just a couple of minutes away at the nearest Tamiami Trail junction, for all of your food, pharmacy and grocery needs.
Kiles Ace Hardware The local DIY store where the staff still know what customer service really means! Turn left at Publix and it is 500 yards on your left.
Wal-Mart Just four miles north on the Tamiami Trail for everything you could possibly want if you are looking for good value.
BabiesRus Just five miles north on the Tamiami Trail for all of your baby needs!
CVS Pharmacy Across the road from Publix will satisfy most if not all of your medical needs or tell you where to find a suitable doctor, or try the Venice Walk-In Medical center at 333 Tamiami Trail S telephone (941) 485-4858.
